“Yoga in it’s essence is actually about perception – changing your perception altering your perception and offering you another perception.”
– Judith Lasater
Within my classes you can expect physical adjustments (unless you state that you would prefer not to be touched). Adjustments can help by offering another way of experiencing the pose, but this isn’t to put you into an “ideal” picture of the pose – it’s more about the experience for the student, and educating the nervous system of where it can be and to deepen the inner experience.

Skilfully Transitioning Spring to Summer
A Set of 60 Minute Classes, Taking Place Throughout May and June
Join me for a nourishing mid-morning yoga movement ritual, to soothe your nervous system and release tension. This session embodies the principles of Asana (gentle meridian focused flow movement), mantra (sacred sound vocalising mantra), mudra (powerful hand gestures) and pranayama (breath work). This explorative 60 minute integral practice aims to reconnect you to the essence of your being, giving you permission to still the mind and open your heart through movement, breath, mantra and meditation.
This class will at times be softer and sometimes more physically demanding, although always with plenty of options for you to get what you individually need, giving you permission to bespoke the practice to suit your body. All levels welcome to come as you are and do what you can, as we move and breathe together.
This is set out as an 8 week course in 2 parts, you are welcome to sign up for one part or both in which we will explore the rich yogic technology of mantra (chanting), mudra (gestures with hands and the body) and yogic based movement to activate the meridians (channels of energy). The course begins just after Beltane and moves us into Summer Solstice.
There will be a (£10, drop-in) introductory taster session on the 26th April, followed by…
Part One: Mondays 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd May
Part Two: Mondays 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th June
Please note there will be a break for half term on 31st May
Part 1: £50
Part 2: £50
Parts 1 & 2: £90
Drop-ins are priced at £15 per session
“I joined Charlie’s Yoga class on Fridays in Acton a little over a year ago. I came in fear and trepidation at first as I had never done yoga before (apart from at home with a DVD which I don’t recommend!).
Charlie has a quite brilliant yoga-for-all approach. Very encouraging. Very reassuring. As a person of faith, I like that there is a spiritual feel to the class, but this too is inclusive of everyone. I now try not to miss. The class really helps my well-being. Charlie’s Yin class on Tuesdays at Triyoga Ealing is also fab and deeply relaxing. I try to make that too when I can.”
